MLS team Inter Miami and Lionel Messi are reportedly in talks about a prospective deal.

The BBC and The Athletic have reported that Argentine superstar Lionel Messi is in talks to sign with Major League Soccer (MLS) team Inter Miami.

Since Messi confirmed his departure from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) after playing his final match for the club on Sunday, there has been conjecture about his next move.

Messi was reportedly planning to decline an offer from Saudi Arabian team Al-Hilal, according to a report by sports reporter Guillem Balague for the BBC.

MLS, Inter Miami, Messi’s agent, and David Beckham, a member of Inter Miami’s ownership group, have all been contacted by CNN, but no responses had been received at the time of publishing.

Messi, who won the World Cup with Argentina in December, was said to be moving to Saudi Arabia, where he has business connections.

Messi sobbed when he left Barcelona in 2021 since the team was unable to grant its hero a new contract due to financial mismanagement, which was made worse by the Covid-19 epidemic.
