Target, Aldi? On Memorial Day 2023, which stores are open and closed.

Many people are enjoying a long three-day weekend in observance of Memorial Day, a federal holiday that commemorates and honours those who passed away while serving in the United States Military. What, though, is open and closed on Monday if you have the day off?

Here is a summary of what to anticipate:

For the holiday, most stores, including major chains like Target, Walmart, CVS, and others, will be open.

According to a  spokesperson, “Target stores will be open on Memorial Day weekend during our regular store business hours, which vary by location.”

Walgreens, Home Depot, and other national businesses have all said that they will be open as well. However, one significant shop won’t be operating for the holiday: Costco.

Grocery Stores

Even while many grocery shops are open on Memorial Day, their hours may be shortened or restricted.

Many chains, including Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, Mariano’s, Aldi, Jewel Osco, and others, have announced that they would be open.

Banks and many other financial institutions are closed on Memorial Day.

Post Office

U.S. postal service locations will be closed for the holiday.

Public Libraries

Public libraries will not be open for the holiday.
